Children on the Beach...

Turkey/Greece Trip

After the waterfall hike, we spent some time on the beach… you remember I mentioned that a stream from the mountains emptied into the Mediterranean Sea; this is where many of the children always seemed to play.  Today, a group of kids decided to dam up the stream:

This little boy was stealing a rock from the sand dam they had made first.

He was straining with every muscle he had to carry it...
you can see the veins in his neck!

He needed it for this rock dam they were building in another area
where the water was still passing.

They had a system... this little girl dove for the rocks in the sea and would
bring them to the shore.  She had a whole lap full; I have no idea how she
held on to them while diving and then manage to get them to the shore.

Her little brother and friend came to the rescue to help carry.

They were doing a really good job because the water was pooling and they would need keep needing more rocks!  Again, as you can see, it really doesn’t take much to entertain us!  The kids were so cute and certainly did not want to leave when the parents called for them 'time to go'!
