Day in Nelspruit

Monday, Oct 11  South Africa

We drove 2 hours to Nelspruit to find a wi-fi connection and to see what was in the town. I also blogged and Dennis did a little shopping for a few things we needed.  Nice to slow down for a day.

The sun came out and it was 45C degrees, which converts to 113F... certainly a good day for us to be sitting in an internet cafe for lunch... until the electricity went off in most of the mall.  We had already eaten and I had laptop battery fully charged so I was still in business.  Electricity came back on shortly.

While it was HOT and we thought it would make  for a warm night returning to the tent for sleep, it wasn't a 113F humid-hot like it would be in Oklahoma. The evening cooled down to an amazing 60F so it was nice before morning.  It's still pretty dry here.  Their rainy season should be starting now and they have not had much so far.
Termite Mound
you can see how dry it is in places and why they mostly build everything of Concrete, Brick, Stucco and such.
